EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT WPEL
     The Montrose Broadcasting Corporation, licensee of radio stations WPEL-AM and WPEL-FM, is a nonprofit religious organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and a religious broadcaster as defined by the regulations of the Federal Communications Commission.  As a religious broadcaster, the Montrose Broadcasting Corporation has established a religious qualification for all employee positions at WPEL-AM and WPEL-FM.  In accordance with FCC rules, the Montrose Broadcasting Corporation makes a good faith effort to recruit applicants, without regard to race, color, national origin or gender, among those who are qualified on the basis of their religious beliefs or affiliation.

CURRENT OPENINGS
     At the present time, there are no job vacancies at WPEL.
    
Our most frequent openings are for announcer/newscasters for weekend and evening shifts. In addition to a commitment to the station’s religious mission,  the ability to gather, edit, re-write and deliver newscasts and weather reports on computerized equipment are the basic skills required.  A pleasant voice, the ability to read well out loud, familiarity with current events and the ability to operate studio equipment are also required.
