Special Assignment Report for 05/03/25 – Small Business Fraud Expo

Scams and fraud have become daily ocurances across the landscape as trusting people are tricked into sending money or giving personal information in promises of something in return. In people’s personal lives, these attempts may come with promises of something in return such as a relationship or windfall increase in personal wealth or even with threats that if the victim does not comply, something bad will happen to them or a loved one. Businesses are also subjects of fraud and the Pennsylvania State Police, in coordination with People’s Security Bank are hosting an expo to bring awareness and tool to prepare people to face these threats.
