There is no question that pandemic era policies across the nation and the world affected all areas of life, and the education of US school children was no exception. According to an article in Education Weekly, federal data showed that in the 2021-2022 school year, slightly more than 4.73 million K-12 students were enrolled in private schools…which was a slight bump from the previous data showing 4.65 million in the 2019-2020 school year. During the same period, student enrollment in public schools dropped from 50.8 million students to 49.4 million.
