Trauma is the leading cause of death in the United States for individuals under the age of 45…and the fourth leading cause of death overall for people of all ages…This statistic is courtesy of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma…in spite of those statistics, The Trauma Survivor’s Network says advancements in trauma care over the last 50 years have greatly reduced mortality and mobidity after traumatic events.
