Special Assignment Report for 09/14/24 – Montrose Bicentennial Celebration

Nestled in the heart of the Endless Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania lies the borough of Montrose. The first settler, Revolutionary War officer, Captain Bartlett Hinds, came to the area in 1800 and the community began to grow with the original township plan set about 12 years before incorporation in 1824 with the name Montrose.
