According to recent statistics, in the United States, nearly half of all pregnancies are unintended. In 2019, 41.6% of all pregnancies were not planned. Additional statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that unintended pregnancies are highest in minority populations and unwed mothers.
