Traditionally, the holiday season extending from Thanksgiving through Christmas and into the New Year is a time of joy, celebration and togetherness, but, as the Veteran’s Administration highlights, for many veterans, the season can bring about feelings of isolation, sadness and depression.
These feelings present symptoms that are crucial to recognize as they may be indicators that a veteran is struggling with depression…or other mental health struggles…which can lead to an increase in suicidal ideation.
