Special Assignment Report for Saturday 12/21/24 – School Safety and Social Media Threats

Institutions of education have long dealt with both real threats to their campuses as well as hoaxes. With a break for the holidays underway for most institutions, a review of some of the threats may prepare parents and students for the coming school session.
Social media has brought about a new arena of online threats and law enforcement agencies say posting of threats has been trending up. They also warn that making threats may result in criminal charges or other life altering consequences…and all of them must all be investigated.
